The past few months have been absolutely crazy.
Graduation followed by job searching. Employment followed by law school preparation. Endless soul searching for my motives, my convictions, and my attitudes.
I almost forgot how much I used to enjoy and love volunteering and being of service to others- the less fortunate, the voiceless, and the lost. The investment in time for volunteering is so small compared to the reward of making a difference in the lives of those in need.
In 2013, it is my hope and challenge to further gear my life towards active volunteering and public service.
To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
